Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-8pm
Instructor: Caitlyn Wright
This class is an opportunity to learn or expand on basic wheel throwing by altering the thrown forms using hand-building techniques. We will make functional vessels for holding plants! With intentionality as part of the process, we will be thinking about the result and how these pots will relate to the plants they will hold. We will consider capacity, drainage, display, surface, and thoughtful glaze choices in working to develop a pot where the intended flowers or veggies will thrive. Each participant will take home their own planter(s), glazed and fired to 2300 degrees in the wood kiln.
