Please fill out the order form below. We will have a selection of Pork, Goat, Lamb, and Chicken available for this first year of production. All of the meat will be packaged, labeled, and frozen upon delivery/ pickup. The animals will be slaughtered on farm to reduce stress of the animal and thus will increase the quality of the meat. The Meat will be butchered at a local butcher shop by trained Craigardan staff and other local professional butchers. Quality, care, and safety for our animals, land, farmers, and customers are our utmost priority. 

Since we have a limited amount of meat available, meat sales will be first come first serve. 


What is available?

CHICKEN

We are raising Freedom Rangers this year, which is a breed of broiler chickens that are best known for their ability to forage on pasture. 

Only whole chickens are available at this time. A deposit of $10 is expected per bird. Birds will be available for pick up as early as July 20th. 

PORk

The pigs are a mix of Yorkshire and Berkshire, which in combination are well known for their long bellies (aka more bacon!). Pigs have been pasture and forest raised and have been fed organic grain purchased locally.

Pigs are available for sale by the whole or the half. Pigs are priced by the hanging weight, so the final weight post slaughter & evisceration. It is important to note that the total hanging weight will not equal the total weight in finished cuts (expect a 30-40% loss). 

LAMB

Lambs are a mixture of Katahdin (meat breed) and East Fresian (dairy breed). Lamb has been pasture raised and is 100% grass fed. Lambs will be slaughtered between 6-9 months of age. 

Lambs are available for sale by the whole or the half. Lambs are priced by the hanging weight, so the final weight post slaughter & evisceration. It is important to note that the total hanging weight will not equal the total weight in finished cuts (expect a 30-40% loss). 

GOAT

These goats are getting a small amount of organic grain every couple of days to help move them from paddock to paddock, otherwise they are grazing and getting the rest of their nutrition from the pasture. 

Whole or Half Goats are available for sale. Goats are priced by the hanging weight, so the final weight post slaughter & evisceration. It is important to note that the total hanging weight will not equal the total weight in finished cuts (expect a 30-40% loss).
