LEARN, GROW, EAT

Come join us on the farm! We encourage you and your family to visit the animals anytime during open hours. Join us for volunteer hours at 9am on Saturdays through September, or schedule a time to tour the farm with our staff. Sign up for a class or community farm day and have fun learning and sharing skills from gardening 101 to orchard care.

Craigardan’s growing farm is a space for you to meet new people, enjoy the outdoors, share knowledge, and access healthy food.

The farm is open to the public Mon - Sat 9am - 6pm // closed holidays

Community Farm Programs include:

Profits-To-Farmers. When you purchase local vegetables, fruit, dairy, and meat from our store, 100% of the profits go directly to the local farmers who produced that food. With the help of individual donors like you we are able to continue this amazing resource for local farmers and consumers alike.

Egg Share. Turn your kitchen scraps into fresh eggs! Join the program and receive an egg-share bucket with lid, instructions, and a dozen eggs — for only $14. For every 7 buckets of kitchen scraps you bring to the farm, you’ll receive a dozen free eggs, fresh from our chickens. Our hens are free-range, pasture-raised, and fed a supplemental diet of kitchen scraps and non-GMO organic grain. This is a great way to learn about composting while enjoying the delicious benefits.

Farm Tours. We welcome school field trips, guided family farm walks, and organizational partnerships that open up the world of responsible agriculture to the community. We are able to design educational programs to meet the needs of diverse groups, skill levels, and interests. To inquire, please email program@craigardan.org.

Volunteer. Get your hands in the soil, connect with the animals, and learn to grow your own food. Volunteer on the farm for 2 hours each week and go home with a small taste of the harvest.

Classes and Workshops. Check out our many free and low cost educational opportunities throughout the season for you and your family. Events are updated HERE.

Free Food Fridge. In solidarity, not charity. The fridge provides free access to a changing selection of local, nutritious food for folks who need it. The fridge is available 24/7 on the porch of the farm store. Come and take what you need.

Raised Beds. $25 season usage fee (Please still inquire even if you are unsure of your ability to pay the fee). Ever wanted a garden but don’t have the space? We have a limited amount of raised beds available for use, located by the walkway to our farm store. Soil and watering services are provided, but you must provide your own seeds and plants. Please contact farm@craigardan.org to inquire about availability and for more details.
