SPRING LAMB JAM!

  • Craigardan 9216 New York 9N Elizabethtown, NY, 12932 United States (map)

FREE! | SATURDAY, MAY 2 | 11 AM - 2 PM

Come welcome the arrival of Spring with us on the farm! Joined by other local sheep farmers, fiber artists, and wool enthusiasts, the Lamb Jam is a mini-festival celebrating all-things sheep and wool.

MEET THE LAMBS. Come see our baby lambs bouncing joyfully in the pasture. Give them some scratches and learn about our lively Tunis sheep—a heritage breed known for their soft, oatmeal-colored wool and sweet personalities.

CELEBRATE WOOL. Meet local producers, learn about wool, and shop for locally-produced fiber, sheep skins, weavings, and more.

LEARN TO SKIRT. Gather around the table and learn how to skirt (clean) a fleece. This meditative practice will help us prepare this year’s fleeces for processing into yearn.

FELTING ACTIVITY. Get hands-on with one of the oldest and easiest textile arts. Learn multiple felting techniques and create a wool project to take home, using raw fleece from our very own flock.

PICNIC LUNCH. Pack lunch to bring, or purchase food while here to enjoy on the farm. It’s BYOB (bring your own blanket).

Location: Meet in the parking lot of the farm store. Google Maps Link
