Pots Together

Four Sundays, 10am - noon

Instructor:  Hedy Yang

This is a fun class for kids and their adults.  Designed for a parent and child, each on their own wheel, this class guides beginners through basic ceramics: working with clay, the centering process, pulling cylinders, and creating functional pottery on the wheel.  We will be learning basic glazing techniques, as well as the bisque and glaze firing processes.  Each participant will take home finished work, glazed and fired in the electric kiln.

$185 for 1 parent and 1 child | includes materials and firings | 4 sessions + 3 Saturday open studios

Min. 2, Maximum of 3 parent/child registrations (6 total participants)

Hedy Yang has a passion for clay. She started taking ceramics in high school to fulfill a class requirement, and ended up falling in love with it. Hedy recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Ceramics at Michigan State University, and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Over the last few years, she’s worked hard to create content for social media that shows her process and the videos have been shared by several major social media outlets such as InsiderArt, Buzzfeed, Elle Decor, and many others. Hedy is a winter artist-in-residence at Craigardan and has received this winter’s Studio Teaching Fellowship.
