Intermediate + Advanced Throwing

Tuesdays, 6-8pm

Instructor:  Kyle Brumsted and guest artists

This class is an opportunity to expand what you know about wheel throwing!  We will learn how to make larger pots and experiment with lidded forms such as teapots and jars.  We will also add textural elements by altering the thrown forms using hand-building techniques and experiment with thoughtful glaze application to highlight texture and form.  Participants will also spend one class learning about the wood firing process and assisting in loading (and firing) the kiln.  Each participant will take home their artwork, glazed and fired to 2300 degrees in the spring wood kiln firing.

$185 including materials and firings | 6 sessions + Saturday open studios
